White Water Bay

White Water Bay is a very wet, fun in the sun place to visit. Of the water parks our family has been to, it's one of the better ones (and that's based on parks we have visited all over the country). In Oklahoma, it is the largest water adventure park.

There are rides for thrill seekers, like the Mega-Wedgie and the Acapulco Cliff Dive and more tame rides for the low-key fun lovers, such as Castaway Creek and Keelhaul Falls.

Something that I was able to do that most people don't get to do is visit the park before it opens. I was working for Linda at LandFX as a landscaper at the time and she was given the contract for doing the landscaping at White Water Bay. We had a team there for several days digging, planting, watering and mulching in preparation for the park opening for the season.

The whole process was amazing. Linda was fantastic to work for as well as to watch in action. Her designs were stunning and her use of heat-tolerant plants while providing gorgeous color was awesome. It was a great experience.

Anyway, White Water Bay is a neat experience. Our neighbors down the street always buy season passes to WWB and Frontier City and go faithfully all summer long. With over 30 rides, there is certainly plenty to do.
