Oklahoma City OmniplexWhat a great place for kids…kids of all ages, in fact. The Oklahoma City Omniplex is one adventure after another. You can explore the galaxies, walk through the gardens, visit the galleries, experience hands-on learning activities and so much more. The Best of OKC
The complex houses several museums, a planetarium, exhibits, galleries, outdoor gardens and greenhouses. Several museums are all located in the Omniplex, including the Kirkpatrick Science and Air Space Museum, Red Earth Indian Center, and the International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum. The Oklahoma Aviation and Space Hall of Fame is also there. Did you know that Oklahoma's unique history includes it being the only state with an astronaut in every manned space program? Visit the exhibits including full-scale models of Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules as well as the actual Apollo Command Module Simulator used to train Apollo Astronauts. The Oklahoma City Omniplex has over 350 hands-on exhibits and an array of educational programs designed to enlighten, entertain and educate the entire family. The museum's exhibits are grouped around science themes such as: Light, Sound, Energy, Space, Physics, Nutrition, Math, Meteorology and Agriculture. The Oklahoma City OmniDome is another fascinating adventure. The theater stands nearly 7 stories high and has a 70 foot diameter dome screen. You can't even see that much at one time! If you haven't seen an Omnidome movie before, you have to experience this at least once. It's almost overwhelming to the senses. If you want to visit the Oklahoma City Omniplex, take note of the following:Omnidome Pricing:Adults (13-64): $8.25 Seniors (65+): $6.75 Children (3-12): $6.75 Group Rates available for parties of 15 or more. Seating Capacity: The theater includes 265 seats with accommodations for wheelchairs. Parking Oklahoma City Omniplex: Hours of Operation Monday - Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. The museum is closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. The Big Ticket (Includes access to exhibits, planetarium and choice of one OmniDome show) Adult (13-64): $13.50 Senior (65+): $10.25 Child (3-12): $10.25 Prices for Exhibits only are $9.50 for adults and $8.25 for seniors and children. Prices for OmniDome Theater presentations are $8.25 for adults and $6.75 for seniors and children. Prices do not include tax surcharge. Children under three are admitted free of charge, but must sit on parent's lap in OmniDome and planetarium presentations. Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more. ParkingParking is FREE and located just north of the museum. There is ample turn-around room for RVs and buses. The Oklahoma City Omniplex is located in the heart of Oklahoma City's Adventure District next door to the Oklahoma City Zoo and across the street from Remington Park at 2100 NE 52nd Street in Oklahoma City.
