Oklahoma City Museum of Art

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art is located right in the center of downtown Oklahoma City.

It is accredited by the American Association of Museums and it serves over 100,000 visitors annually from all fifty states and over forty foreign countries.

The building looks a bit tame from the outside, but just wait until you get inside!

The first thing you see is this unbelievable glass sculpture. Wow. You almost can't believe your eyes.

The Oklahoma City Museum of Art has an extensive permanent collection of European and American art, but what really got my attention was the museum's ongoing exhibition of the most comprehensive collection of Dale Chihuly glass in the world.

This isn't just ordinary glass, either. This is the most amazing glass art I have ever seen. Wow! Just take a look for yourself. I took this picture at the Oklahoma Museum of Art and from the bottom to the top of this one piece, it appears to be about 3 stories high. Each piece is individually blown, then hooked together to form a single artistic expression that rivals anything I have ever seen. Yes, I know I already said that, but if you saw this gorgeous piece of art, you'd say it, too.
