The Oakcrest Church of ChristWhy did we choose the Oakcrest Church of Christ? For our family, going to church is an essential part of our lives. I couldn't imagine not being a part of a church family and worshipping God. The Oakcrest Church of Christ offers so much of what a church should offer: love, support, classes that help you grow closer to God, a family to help you through the tough times and a worship service where God's presence can be truly felt. Below are some of the important aspects of the Oakcrest Church of Christ - as well as our own personal beliefs. The Best of OKC
5 PURPOSES OF THE CHURCH AS SEEN IN THE NEW TESTAMENT 
Christ's purposes for His church are clearly revealed in Scripture. Our job as His people is not to decide on our purposes and mission, but to implement the one He has revealed for us. At the Oakcrest Church of Christ, we want to be a church guided, focused and directed by purpose, not by personalities or pressures! WORSHIP: To Celebrate GodEVANGELISM: To Communicate Christ FELLOWSHIP: To Create a Close-Knit Community DISCIPLESHIP: To Conform to His Image MINISTRY: To Care for Others Our family enjoyed attending the Oakcrest Church. The youth group was very active, which was awesome for our oldest daughter and the children had the most amazing classrooms in which to learn. Each room was hand painted with gorgeous murals. I am always amazed at the talent that some people are blessed with. I haven't taken any pictures of the murals, but I hope to do that so you can see just how fantastic they are.
Our youngest daughter also attended the Mother's Day Out program and when she was old enough, then she attended the Oakcrest Dayschool program. A Christian learning environment is so wonderful for children. One of the field trips the Kindergarten class took was to the Oklahoma City Zoo. You can check that out here: Oklahoma City Zoo. Another field trip the school took was to the Orr Family Farm. The kids had such a great time at both places.
