Frontier City is Oklahoma City's Amusement ParkFrontier City is a Six Flags amusement park in Oklahoma City and is one of our real highlights. There are over twenty amazing rides. Concerts are held throughout the summer as well as a variety of "frontier" themed shows. If you're visiting, don't miss it. If you live here and haven't been to our best Oklahoma City amusement park recently, pack up the kids and go. I don't know about you, but I think amusement parks are a lot of fun. I love taking my children, too. I actually had a neat opportunity to visit Frontier City while it was closed. It is really an interesting (and strange) experience to see an amusement park when nothing is operating and no visitors are there. Frontier City RidesMINDBENDERThis is a world-class roller coaster with the swirling action of a swinging pendulum. TOMAHAWK It's a mind-janglin', feet-danglin', head-over-heels experience! SILVER BULLET It's like you've been shot from a cannon as you rocket through this high-speed steel looping super roller coaster! DIAMOND BACK Speed down this steel track and race through a breathtaking loop. Then, LOOK OUT! This ride strikes back! And you do the whole thing again ... in reverse! WILDCAT Frontier City's classic wooden coaster is a definite must-ride! RENEGADE RAPIDS You and your family will tame the wild twists and turns of this river rapids adventure. GERONIMO SKY COASTER Ride alone or with your friends on this 113-foot free-fall sky coaster! (This ride requires an additional fee.) MYSTERY RIVER LOG FLUME Family fun awaits everyone on this adventurous log flume ride that plunges into the waiting water below. OL' '89ER EXPRESS Take a trip around the entire park on this three-carriage train ride. GRAND CAROUSEL Round and round you go on this nostalgic family ride. Our classic merry-go-round! SWINGING SIX GUNS High-flying, spinning swing ride. DODGE EM'S Demolition-style bumper cars for big kids and adults. PRAIRIE SCHOONER Swing back and forth and high into the air on this pirate ship that flies instead of sails. ROUND-UP If you like a high-speed thriller that spins riders horizontally, then vertically, this is the ride for you. SIDEWINDER Hang on tight as this ride gets going. You'll spin in tight circles as the entire vehicle twirls. THUNDER ROAD RACEWAY Challenge a buddy to a race in these cars. (This ride requires an additional fee.) TREASURE MOUNTAIN Find fun for everyone on this dark spooky ride. GRAND CENTENNIAL FERRIS WHEEL This is a large 20-gondola ferris wheel gives riders a fantastic aerial view of the park. TIN LIZZY'S Electric-powered, mini-antique car ride. TERRIBLE TWISTER Riders quickly spin, the floor drops from beneath, pinning them to the wall. The landscape manager took a friend of mine and I for a tour of the flower beds inside the park as well as the greenhouse. As an avid gardener myself, I found it amazing. It is difficult to imagine having to landscape such a vast space. It was also fun to walk around the park when no one else was there. We're excited about bringing the best tips, resources, and experts straight to you. In fact, we're building a directory of local businesses and services so you can read (and write your own) reviews. By sharing our collective experience we'll all win. The park is big, but well-laid out. If you ever get to visit, be sure to get a map so that you can find your way around easier, though.
