The Best Chinese Restaurant in Oklahoma City is PF Chang's

The best Chinese restaurant in Oklahoma City is by far PF Chang's.

Actually, it is in Edmond, but it's worth the drive. It is close to Penn Square Mall. Well, I should probably say the menu is comprised of a variety of Asian foods as that would be more accurate. We just think of PF Chang's as being Chinese food. We're not especially savvy when it comes to knowing what kind of food is what. But, we definitely know what is delicious. The food is absolutely amazing and the ambiance is delightful, too.

One of the reasons we ended up trying PF Chang's is because they have a gluten-free menu. I cannot eat anything with gluten, which includes A LOT of foods. Anything that has wheat, barley or rye is off-limits to me. When I found out that PF Chang's had a gluten free menu we decided it was worth checking out.

Oh, my goodness. Were we ever in for a tasty surprise. I had never imagined that anyone could create such awesome food and it still be gluten-free. My favorite meal is the Chang's Spicy Chicken (but I have to get it without vegetables) over white rice. I can't have fried rice anymore.

Check this out: Chang's Spicy Chicken – lightly dusted and stir-fried in a sweet Szechuan sauce (which is, by the way, wildly and deliciously spicy). That is MY personal favorite.

Both of my girls and my husband agree with my assessment of PF Chang's. The only thing we don't like is the drive as we have to come from South OKC. For me, it is SO worth it as I just can’t eat out at very many places. There are a few restaurants that have gluten-free menus, but not many.

One of the things you will have to keep in mind if you do decide to eat at PF Chang's is that it is always very busy. You can – and should – make reservations. Otherwise, you may have to wait up to 2 hours to get a table. I am not joking, either. We were told one time (when we went there on a whim) that the wait was going to be two hours long. I wanted to cry. We really should have planned ahead, though.

1-866-PFCHANG is the number you need to know if you want to make reservations at any of their restaurants. We have also eaten at the Dallas location and it was just as fantastic. We have never had a bad meal. Never. Their whole focus is on giving people a great meal in a fun, yet sophisticated environment.

Try it! It's so yummy. Ooohhh, now I'm craving some of that Spicy chicken again.
