Bass Pro Shop in Oklahoma City is the place to be for Oklahoma City nature lovers.

I am a nature lover. Being outdoors is one of the things I enjoy most. It doesn't really matter if I am fishing (which I absolutely love), hiking, camping or boating. I just can't imagine being inside when I can be outside.

My parents always took my sister and me fishing when we were young. We spent part of our summer vacation and sometimes even a few days in the fall fishing on Tablerock Lake in Missouri. It was blissful. This has lasted well into adulthood so now my own children have had a chance to fish off of the same dock and in the same fishing holes that I did when I was their age.

A few things have changed, though.

Since my first trip to the lake to go fishing, Bass Pro created a mammoth store in Springfield, Missouri. It's amazing. It's also on our way to Tablerock Lake, so we see it from the highway every time we go there.

Something else has changed. Since we moved to Oklahoma City, the Bass Pro Shop has also built a huge store here, too. It's just a delight to walk through even if you don't need to buy anything. There are so many things in the store to get you thinking about other things you could be enjoying outdoors.

Do you like to go hunting? Do you enjoy boating? Are you interested in kayaking or canoeing? They have everything there. We even found ski jackets and pants in the Bass Pro Shops in Garland, Texas. It hardly ever snows there.

The Bass Pro Shop in Oklahoma City has something that none of the other stores have, though. They are on the canal, so you can eat lunch at Toby Keith's restaurant then hop on a water taxi and stop at the Bass Pro store. Pretty neat, isn't it?
